BWO-Online-Discussion: „Offshore-Potentials“

12. Mai 2021

The Sea is no longer just a beautiful place for vacation but also an important provider for green energy. In the German North Sea alone, we see 6.7 GW of installed offshore wind capacity – and counting! The EU plans to expand Europe’s offshore capacity to at least 60 GW by 2030 and 300 GW by 2050. To reach these ambitious targets and ensure an efficient distribution of green energy within the EU, cross-border cooperation is essential. How can we make the best out of the great potentials for offshore wind in the North Sea?
