We pool the professional expertise of companies along the entire value chain, from manufacturers and developers to operators and service providers in the offshore wind energy sector. BWO regrets the cancellation of the 2nd top-level meeting on offshore wind energy - appeal to the federal government to get the necessary legal changes in motion quickly
Both BWO board chairmen, Catrin Jung, as well as managing director, Stefan Thimm, had planned to take part in tomorrow's top meeting on offshore wind energy, which had to be canceled at short notice due to COVID19. The focus of the event should have been the question of what measures need to be taken to implement the 20 GW target for 2030.
Loons population stable despite expansion of offshore wind farms
A study on behalf of the Federal Association of Wind Farm Operators Offshore eV (BWO) for a network of funding partners shows that the progressive expansion of wind power at sea has no negative impact on the population of loons in the German Bight. The possible effects of offshore wind farms on the population and the habitat of the two species of loons, red-throated and black-throated divers were examined.
Future Offshore 2020 - Vision 2050
On the occasion of the Future Offshore, the most important Berlin conference on power generation at sea, 150 representatives from the offshore industry and politics discussed perspectives, innovations and regulatory framework conditions.
