Nonetheless, offshore wind energy is essential to ensure a long-term, secure, cost-effective and sustainable energy supply for Germany and Europe and to protect our climate. The operators of offshore wind farms take extensive preventive measures in order to guarantee a nature-friendly expansion of offshore wind energy.
