Volker Quaschning has been a professor at the HTW Berlin University of Applied Sciences since 2004 and is the spokesperson for the renewable energies course. Previously, Dr. Ing.Eckardt worked for many years in various positions in the energy and waste management sector. She studied environmental technology at the TH Lübeck and did her doctorate at the TU Dresden.

Dr. rer. nat. Jennifer Dannheim studied biological oceanography at the Christian-Albrechts-Universität Kiel. She completed her studies with a doctorate at the University of Bremen and the Alfred Wegener Institute, Helmholtz Center for Polar and Marine Research in Bremerhaven.
Since 2010 Dr. rer. nat. Dannheim German delegate in the International Council for Marine Research (ICES) of the Benthosecological Working Group (BEWG). 2013-2018 she chaired the working group 'Marines Benthal and Renewable Energy Development' (WGMBRED) in the International Council for the Exploration of the Sea. She has been the German delegate here since 2019.

Dr. Kim Cornelius Detloff is a marine biologist and heads marine protection at the NABU Bundesverband, the Naturschutzbund Deutschland eV After graduating, he spent several years at the Institute for Marine Biology on the Italian island of Giglio. From 2006 to 2008 he worked as a campaigner at the International Animal Welfare Fund (IFAW). Ole Stobbe is a trained mechanical engineer and is passionate about the energy transition. In the last 20 years he has worked in various offshore wind technology and management positions in consulting firms, project development companies and EPCI contractors.
