Network Development Plan (NEP)
Together with the area development plan (FEP), the network development plan (NEP) forms the planning basis for the connection of offshore wind farms to the onshore power transmission network. The NEP mainly regulates technical details of electricity transport from the offshore wind farm to the end consumer on land. According to the Energy Industry Act, the NEP is updated every two years by the transmission system operators. With the entry into force of the WindSeeG (2017), NEP and FEP replaced the Offshore Grid Development Plan (O-NEP).
