February 22, 2024: Parliamentary evening at the British Embassy in Berlin.
Energy security: How do we secure offshore infrastructure?
Current geopolitical developments - especially the Russian war of aggression against Ukraine - have shown how important infrastructure is for our energy supply security. As the offshore wind energy industry, we know that our infrastructure is vulnerable. With the expansion of offshore wind energy, this technology is playing an increasingly important role in security of supply. That is why we are committed to protecting our wind farms and grid connection systems from physical and digital attacks.
Together with the British Department of Trade, we invite you to discuss the safety of wind energy in the North and Baltic Seas. Our experts from Great Britain and Germany will show which risks are acute and which countermeasures need to be taken. They will talk about security risks for offshore infrastructure and digital challenges.
Join the discussion! You have the opportunity to exchange ideas with high-ranking representatives from German and British authorities, politics and science.
We thank you for your participation!
