Extension cost cutting

In 2016, offshore wind turbines with an output of 818 megawatts went online. The industry assesses the expansion positively and expects on this basis, with optimized plant technologies and operating concepts, cost reductions in the upcoming tenders for Germany as well. This dynamic is, however, slowed down by the expansion targets after 2017 that were reduced in the Renewable Energy Sources Act (EEG) 2020. At the same time, opportunities for industrial policy are lost.
