The Wind Energy at Sea Act will also be amended with the Energy Security Act. The BWO comments as follows on the amendments to the Offshore Wind Energy Act decided by the Federal Cabinet today:

"The changes planned by the federal cabinet are purely editorial in nature and are not sufficient to make the Wind-See-Gesetz and thus the future rounds of tenders legally secure. We're talking about multi-billion dollar investments. The bidders for the operation of offshore wind farms therefore need legally secure and watertight provisions in order to create a "level playing field" in the tenders. Here we ask the members of the Bundestag to take a close look at the parliamentary process.”
