BWO joins the European offshore coalition

Berlin, July 16, 2021 - Today the BWO eV joined the European offshore coalition. The Offshore Coalition for Energy and Nature (OCEaN) is a coalition of now a total of 23 NGOs, wind industry companies and transmission system operators who came together at the end of 2020 to find out how the environmentally friendly expansion of offshore wind energy can be made possible.

"In order for the energy transition to be successful, it is very important to think about climate and nature conservation together. The aim of our joining the OCEaN is to find out, together with other stakeholders, how the expansion of offshore wind energy can be more successful with nature conservation and healthy marine ecosystems and to share our experience with our European partners“, Says Stefan Thimm, managing director of BWO eV
