The Federal Maritime and Hydrographic Agency (BSH) today published the Area development plan 2023 released. "We are pleased that the BSH is designating additional areas for the expansion of offshore wind energy and for hydrogen production. An important milestone has thus been reached in order to achieve the 30 GW expansion target for 2030," states BWO Managing Director Thimm. “We also rate positively the first attempts at co-use in the Baltic Sea between offshore wind energy and other types of use. These must be expanded further in order to also achieve the targeted 70 GW by 2045”.
