BWO: enormous opportunities for the economy through the Fit for 55 Package of the EU
press report
"Today the EU Commission has with the Fit for 55 packages given an important impetus to stimulate the economy again after the corona pandemic and at the same time to develop the EU in the direction of the Paris climate goals. The sooner the necessary transformation of the economy begins, the better it is - for the economy and for the climate. In order to achieve the climate goals, we need more green electricity, more green hydrogen and also more cross-border cooperation. Especially with large projects such as offshore wind farms and the associated networks, we keep seeing that joint planning and frameworks ensure efficiency. "

Background:
Today the EU presented the first legislative package with which the new 55 percent climate target is to be achieved. This includes proposals for renewable energies, higher CO2 standards for cars, renewable energies and a CO2 border tax. The “Fit for 55 Package” is part of the idea of a European “Green Deal” that EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen presented in 2019. With this, Europe is to be rebuilt in a trend-setting way in the coming months and years.
