Renewable energies Law

Renewable Energy Sources Act (EEG)

The Renewable Energies Act (EEG) has formed the basis for the expansion of renewable energies in Germany since April 2000. Many of the regulations contained therein are also relevant for offshore wind energy. Until the Wind Energy on Sea Act (WindSeeG) came into force in 2017, the EEG regulated, among other things, the feed-in tariff for green electricity from offshore wind turbines.
