North Seas Energy Cooperation (NSEC)

The North Seas Energy Cooperation (NSEC) supports the expansion of offshore wind energy and the network infrastructure at sea through cross-border cooperation between currently 9 European countries and the EU Commission. After the UK left the EU on January 31, 2020, the member states will include Belgium, Denmark, France, Ireland, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway and Sweden. The focus of the cooperation lies in the development of cross-border offshore wind and grid projects (hybrid projects). The aim is to reduce the costs and space requirements of offshore projects through cross-border cooperation.
