BWO welcomes the offshore expansion in the new coalition agreement
“The planned increase in the offshore expansion targets is a courageous and correct step. With the present coalition agreement, the new traffic light coalition is setting an example for the future. The task now is to start implementing it as quickly as possible. The offshore wind farm operators are ready.
In order to accelerate the expansion in the short term, a dialogue must be carried out immediately with all actors involved. The list of topics to be dealt with ranges from the area backdrop to questions of market design to planning and approval questions. All levers must now be set in motion to accelerate the expansion. "

Hintergrund:
In the coalition agreement of the future federal government presented today, an increase in the offshore expansion targets is specified to 30 GW by 2030 and 70 GW by 2045 announced.
In the appendix you will find our recommendations as to which prerequisites must now be created in order to implement these goals.
