We pool the professional expertise of companies along the entire value chain, from manufacturers and developers to operators and service providers in the offshore wind energy sector. Wind Power Action Plan
Today's proposals from the EU Commission in the "Wind Power Action Plan" come at the right time and provide important impetus for the national debate about the future tender design for offshore wind power.
BWO issues a statement on 4. WindSeeV
The WindSeeV determines the suitability of three areas for offshore wind energy - an important prerequisite and the next logical step in implementing our expansion goals. We welcome this dynamic, but upon closer inspection we have discovered that the total electricity yield could even be increased. In our statement, we therefore suggest that the order of the areas to be advertised in the future be reviewed again.
FEP 2024 – preliminary draft leaves important questions unanswered
For the first time, the preliminary draft of the 2024 area development plan includes sufficient space to actually implement the 50 gigawatts (GW) by 2035 and the 70 GW by 2045. Nevertheless, the BWO sees a need for improvement in some areas.
