The implementation of the legally defined expansion targets for offshore wind energy is a central building block for the energy transition and security of supply in Germany. But what installed capacity is necessary to provide the quantities of clean electricity required for the climate neutrality of the economy and society? What factors play a role in making the expansion efficient and economical?
These questions are the focus of the next issue the BWO expert discussion series “Expertise” on February 13th at 13:00 p.m. Together with the Fraunhofer Institute for Wind Energy Systems IWES and Steelwind Nordenham, the BWO provides insights into the potential of offshore wind energy and highlights the amounts of electricity that can be provided through intelligent land use.
